Service Description

Join me on the day at 'Bulldog Gear' in Hixon Staffordshire for 3 hours (11:00-14:00) of having fun learning to balance on your hands, whether you have any experience or not. I have set this workshop up to raise money and awareness for Alzheimers Society. It will be a great chance to have fun learning a new skill, learn some tools to help you on your balancing journey, but most of all connect and come together for a great cause! The link to donate is at the bottom of this page. I ask a minimum of £50 for those attending on the day and for anyone who cannot attend, but would like to donate then I appreciate any donation at all. Thank you! <3 Here is a little bit about why... So many are affected by this cruel disease and my family and I know just how tough this can be since our mum was diagnosed at the age of 67, 7 years ago. It is not just someone forgetting your name or who you are. Our mum has lost the ability to perform simple tasks, lost her independence completely, from driving to being able to go out for a walk on her own as well as needing help with washing and dressing. She has lost the ability to be able to communicate since words have become very muddled and so expressing feelings or having conversation is very hard for her and the rest of us. Despite all of this being so hard to accept, mum is still our amazing mum and we have plenty of days of laughter and cuddles and that is the way she has always been! For anyone else navigating this disease too there are always ways to find the fun, the silliness, and look for the best in every day. It's adjusting to things not being the way they used to and embracing what we have now. I want to do what ever I can to raise money and awareness, and to help other people to feel more connected and less alone. Alzheimer’s Society is working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future. I would massively appreciate any donations here for my upcoming workshop 'Stand up to Alzheimers' whether you can attend or not. If you are attending, I just ask that you make a minimum payment of £50 for the day.
